Hex&Co. Afterschool Programs

Come and play with us! Our Afterschool programs offer engaging, mind-enriching fun every weekday afternoon!

Participants access Hex&Co.’s massive library of boardgames, tabletop roleplaying games, and more, all carefully curated through a curriculum based approach to develop mental and social skills.

Our knowledgeable counselors lead small group classes, teaching, guiding, and sharing their enthusiasm for tabletop gaming.

Tabletop games, such as Dungeons & Dragons, offer a unique activity that is both engrossing and highly social, with a focus on peer engagement.

We believe in a “No Screen” environment, and our programs are strictly analog; giving kids a break from technology and encouraging imaginative strategy, problem-solving, and storytelling through interactive play.

After arriving and settling in, your participant will be led through scheduled tabletop gaming activities with a group of up to five peers by a Hex&Co. Staff Counselor.  Our Counselors guide each group, instructing and helping to facilitate strategy, learning, socializing, and good sportsmanship.  Your participant’s Counselor will be assigned to their group for the entire trimester, providing a familiar face and consistent supervision, enabling us to communicate with you reliably and accurately regarding your participant’s experience. In the middle of the session, a there is a break period with snacks provided by Hex&Co.

Our program strives to meet the individual needs of our participants, and we always have fidget tools, noise dampening headgear, and temporary alternate activities available for one-on-one engagement when needed.

As the afternoon winds down, our staff stays engaged and attentive with the participants as they prep to leave. When your designated pickup guardian arrives they will have an opportunity to chat with the Afterschool Manager about your participant’s day and experience in our program during sign-out.
