No. Hex&Co.’s Enrichment Programs are nut-free zones. Nothing with peanuts or tree nuts is allowed to be eaten in our designated area while programming is running. During our After School and Day Camp programs students are offered a choice of cookie, one of which contains M&Ms, which are produced in a factory that also processes nuts. Examples of tree nuts include, but are not limited to, walnut, almond, hazelnut, cashew, pistachio, and Brazil nuts.
Yes. New students who have never attended a class or camp at Hex&Co. can register for a paid one time trial session. Before registering for your trial (labeled “Single Session” on our Registration page), we recommend reaching out to us at kids@hexnyc.com to confirm space is available and to ensure the student is placed in the class best for them.
Yes. Students in our program are allowed to arrive and self-dismiss on their own as long as we have written permission from a parent or guardian. This can come in the form of an advance notice sent by email or can be selected as part of our online registration form.
Yes. All lost articles will be kept for a period of at least 30 days and Hex & Co. will attempt to return articles that contain identification. Useful articles of clothing left unclaimed will be donated to local charitable organizations. Hex & Co. assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the care and/or protection of any personal belongings left unattended on our property and for loss, under any circumstances, including theft, vandalism, or malicious mischief of such belonging. Food and other perishable items will be disposed off.
Yes. At dismissal time, families will be given a 15 minute grace period for picking up their student. Families picking up after this time will be charged $10 for Late Dismissal. An additional $10 will be charged for every additional 15 minutes of lateness ($20 for 30 minutes, $30 for 45 minutes, etc.)

For missed After School classes, if notice is given by 12pm on the day of the class, we can offer 4 Gameplay Passes to be used as admission to table play at any of our locations.
For missed Day Camp sessions, we can offer credit to be used for future registrations. Credits expire on December 31st of the current year. Fees will be removed from the credit amount depending on how close to the class date emailed notice is given.
If notice is given at least 14 days before the day of the camp session, the credit will be equal to the full price paid of the session.
If notice is given less than 14 days before the day of the camp session, there is a $10 fee per half day session and a $20 fee per full day session.
If notice is given less than 7 days before the day of the camp session, there is a $20 fee per half day session and a $40 fee per full day session.
If notice is given less than 48 hours before 9am on the day of the camp session, instead of a class credit we can offer 4 Gameplay Passes, to be used as admission to table play at any of our locations.

No. Students are not allowed to trade cards from collectible card games (i.e. Magic: the Gathering, Pokemon) while in the care of the Hex&Co’s Enrichment Programs. Students are welcome to bring and use their personal cards, but cards cannot exchange hands and students must leave with the cards they came with.
No. Students are not allowed to buy anything from the store or cafe while in the care of Hex&Co.’s Enrichment Programs. This applies to food and retail items we sell at Hex&Co. as well as anything students may want to buy while traveling to Hex&Co. from school with a staff member.
Yes. Students are welcome to bring their own supplies for playing trading card games or role playing games in any of our programs. Hex & Co. assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the care and/or protection of any personal belongings left unattended on our property and for loss, under any circumstances, including theft, vandalism, or malicious mischief of such belonging.
Yes. We offer school pick-up as an additional registration for our After School classes, and pick up from many schools in each of the neighborhoods around our programs. These schools are listed on the pick-up registration page for each program location, organized into 3 Zones by distance. If you don’t see your school listed, please reach out to kids@hexnyc.com and we can see what we can do. Generally, we can add a new school to our pick-up roster if we have 3 students registered to be picked up from that school on a given day.
Yes. Hex&Co. has a relationship with a number of schools in each of the neighborhoods we serve, bringing our classes and expertise to students onsite. For all of our partnership classes, our instructors bring all necessary supplies and materials with them to your school. Our program has a large selection of games, and each class follows its own specially designed curriculum that highlights games that cater to that age group’s skills and needs. If you are interested in setting up an onsite class with us, please inquire at kids@hexnyc.com.
Yes. We have a handful of options, including Board Game and Dungeons and Dragons parties for all ages, and can provide game instructors and plenty of table space to create the event that works best for you. For party inquiries, please reach out to reservations@hexnyc.com.

Weekend Programming FAQ
Weekend Programming follows all Youth Enrichment Program policies outlined above, with specific differences regarding refund procedures, in-store purchases, and pickup services are not provided.

If notice is given at least 14 days before the day of the session, a full credit will be issued to your account to be used for future registrations.
Credit amount: Equal to the full price paid for the session.

Yes, participants may purchase food, beverages, or retail items such as dice from the store or café during Weekend Programming while under the supervision of Hex&Co.’s Enrichment staff.
