School Pickups

We require a minimum of 3 children from each school for the day in order to provide school pick-up.

If fewer than 3 children are registered for pick-up from a particular school on a given day, families may still use the service by covering the cost equivalent to 3 children for that school pick-up.

For example, if only one child needs pick-up from a particular school, the family would pay the cost of 3 school pick-ups for that day. Two families may also split the cost of a third child for pick-up.

Yes! We can also provide pick-up from school bus stops located near one of our Hex & Co. locations.

In some cases, students take a yellow school bus from their school to a nearby bus stop. When this is the case, our staff can meet the child at the designated bus stop and walk them safely to our store.

Please email kids@hexnyc.com if you are interested in school bus stop pick-up so we can confirm whether your child’s bus stop is a location we can accommodate.

If your child’s school is not listed, please email kids@hexnyc.com. We will let you know which school zone your school belongs to and whether we are able to provide pick-up.

After you register for school pick-up, one of our After School Managers will reach out to collect the information we need to coordinate your child’s pick-up.

We will ask for:

• Your child’s school
• School dismissal time
• Pick-up location at the school
• Teacher’s name
• Classroom number
• Any additional information about your school’s dismissal procedures

Providing accurate dismissal information helps us make sure our staff are in the right place at the right time.

We generally meet students at the same area where parents or guardians typically pick up their children.

For example, if the school’s general dismissal happens through the front entrance, our staff will meet your child at the front entrance.

However, some schools have specific dismissal procedures, such as:

• Releasing students through a particular door or exit
• Releasing students by class
• Having a specific designated pick-up area
• Following a specific release order

If your child’s school has a specific door, exit, or dismissal procedure, please let us know when our After School Manager reaches out. We will coordinate with you to make sure our staff are in the appropriate location.

If parents pick up through the front door, we’ll be there!

If your school is not listed above, don’t worry! We may still be able to provide school pick-up.

Please email kids@hexnyc.com with your child’s school name and we will let you know whether we offer pick-up from that school and which zone it falls into.
